Frequently asked questions

Find quick answers about creating and customizing your route frame.

Creating your route

Choose the easiest way to bring your activity into the editor.

How can I add my route?

Start by drawing on the map, connecting Strava, or uploading a recorded route. Each option takes you into the same editor.

Do I need a Strava account?

No. Strava is optional; you can draw a route or upload a GPX or TCX file without connecting Strava.

Can I create a route I have not recorded?

Yes. Use Draw on the map to search for a place, add stops, reorder them, and build the route by hand.

Files and route data

What works, what stays local, and how to fix common imports.

Which route files can I upload?

The uploader accepts recorded GPX and Garmin TCX files with GPS track points. Indoor activities without coordinates cannot create a map.

Is my uploaded file sent anywhere?

The GPX or TCX file is read and parsed in your browser. It is not uploaded just to import the route.

Why is my route file not working?

Make sure it is a recorded outdoor activity with at least two GPS points. If needed, export it again as GPX or Garmin TCX.

Customizing your frame

Turn the route into a design that feels personal.

What can I customize?

After choosing a route, you can adjust the design style, colors, and text before adding it to your cart.

Can I change the route after I start?

Yes. Each route source opens the same editor, so you can go back and choose a different route before ordering.

Can I preview my design?

Yes. The editor updates the preview as you make changes so you can check the design before adding it to your cart.
